Loving Awareness
More than ever it’s essential to find healthy ways to transcend our personal and collective environments which are riddled with fear, anxiety, and scarcity mentality. One way to do that is to quiet the thinking mind by going deeply into your heart. I was recently reminded of a mantra used by Ram Das that allows us to be aware of the world around us from the space of love, rather than fear. The mantra is simply “I am loving awareness.”
Take that in for a moment and feel it deeply in your heart. It reorients your point of perception from the head to the heart, allowing all things to be just as they are in the moment. Living your life from this space--your infinite heart--not only helps you navigate the exterior world that is pervasively dysfunctional, but perhaps more importantly; it helps you conjure deep compassion for yourself. As you repeat the mantra “I am loving awareness” you begin every thought with compassion for yourself. Acknowledging how challenging it can feel to be living in this body on this earth at this time. But you are meant to be here now. It is no accident that you are here. In fact, if you are reading this post, it is very likely you are a starseed yourself.
It has been shown that the human heart produces the strongest electromagnetic field in the body. As such it carries an innate intelligence that guides your life by pulling you into resonance with what you love. Like I wrote about last month, connect with what pulls you forward. Let your heart inform your mind. Your mind is there to implement and execute your heart’s desire making it manifest in this world. It is the male action principle.
Ultimately when we are at our best and living in the flow a coherence has been reached between the heart and mind. Coherence is a state of unity between the mind, body, and spirit. This state of harmony allows you to be more present and aware in the moment. And when you are in a state of coherence, your body can heal itself. You naturally experience more peace and joy as you become the conscious creator you were always meant to be rather than living at the effect of things.
So give yourself the gift of loving awareness. Living from that space, I experience and visualize my consciousness suspended in bubble wrap. It creates a field of neutrality around my heart like a torus that allows me to have compassion for all things, rather than close my heart to what I am unable to hold. When you open yourself up to that type of radical acceptance, it allows you to embrace everything about yourself and the world around you with understanding and compassion. Be the change you wish to see in the world and experience less suffering by embodying loving awareness.
